I earned my Doctorate in Clinical Psychology from The New School. During my doctoral studies, I taught Abnormal Psychology and Statistics and was a research intern working on a longitudinal study in attachment at the Anna Freud Center in London. My doctoral research focused on child well-being and its relationship with parents’ representations of attachment. I trained in outpatient and inpatient settings in several New York City hospitals, including Maimonides Medical Center, LIJ Medical Center, Woodhull Medical Center, and Mt. Sinai Beth Israel. I completed my clinical internship at Maimonides Medical Center and also served as a Research Associate in the Psychiatry Residency program there.
In my private practice I work with adults from diverse backgrounds coping with a range of concerns, including stress management, anxiety, OCD, depression, disordered eating, relationship struggles, and self-esteem, for over 15 years. I am also an Associate Professor in the Department of Pediatrics at Downstate Medical Center, where I work with children and adolescents struggling with various health conditions including obesity, and a Clinical Associate at the Safran Center at The New School, where I supervise Phd students.
